About Me

Shronica Holmes affectionately known as the group home homegirl is East Texan at heart and Houstonian at soul. Shronica is the owner of The Rose Residential Care Home for Seniors, founder of Better Me Foundation a 501c3 that has a mission to serve aged out foster care youth, and creator of The WORC Series and Shronica Holmes Consulting- which offers mentorship, consulting, and events for group home owners.

 

Shronica is dedicated to helping seniors age in place and aged-out foster care youth build better lives by merging the 2 generations creating a life and wisdom exchange. She is also an advocate for family caregivers by providing them with resources such as her free book called Don’t Put Me in a Nursing Home and a voice for our young adults aging out of foster care. 

 

Shronica holds a bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master’s in Business Administration. She serves on the Texas College Social Work Advisory Board, Leadership Tyler class of 35 Alumni-Interview Committee, and past member of the Care for Elders Resource group in Houston Texas. 

 

Shronica started her entrepreneur journey in 2019 with a dream to enrich as many lives with life and wisdom and has future plans on expanding her group home business to offer affordable group housing for all generations and becoming an intergenerational program leader.
